| Summary: My experience with Porsche Riverside as a brand new customer has been exceptional. These days, securing a vehicle has been tough with a lot of false promises. Joshua Vigil has been true to his word from the start, respecting my time and honoring his word. He made sure my needs in a vehicle were met and the numbers all in line without a single change. After delivery and when I returned home, he checked in to ensure I was able to understand my new car and to help me get paired with their futuristic Porsche ID system. Truly refreshing for a great dealership and excellent salesperson experience for a new customer... almost forgot what that felt like. |

| Summary: I have been considering a 718 GT4 for a weekend car for some time and had been putting feelers out for an allocation until I discovered Porsche had announced discontinuation of the model for MY 2024. The news prompted me to get serious with the decision . . . to either buy one now or forever regret letting it go. New is pretty much out of the question due to limited inventory and allocations, so I started looking for certified pre-owned (CPO). My search extended to several states giving preference to closer dealerships if the car configuration and options met my preferences. Anyway, I came across an available GT4 at Porsche Riverside and had emailed them to inquire on availability of the car. They responded immediately and provided Joshua (Josh) Vigil as the point of contact to work with. Josh greeted me and my wife when we arrived at the dealership. I was clear with Josh that I was only interested in checking out the car as I was still in the process of researching and comparing other available CPO inventory in my search area. Josh continued to help me and to answer any questions I had. He showed me another car with carbon bucket seats and had me try that out for myself when I asked how comfortable those seats were. I mentioned my preference was to buy a manual transmission GT4; the one they listed for sale was PDK, so he shared with me that they just had a GT4 with manual returned and will be offering it for sale soon. Josh was not pushy to make the sale nor was he condescending in anyway which I have experienced at other dealerships and with some sales representatives. I thanked Josh for his time and told him that I needed to continue my research.
I contacted Josh a week later after working with other dealerships to once again ask to see the car. The GT4 Porsche Riverside had in inventory did not have Bose audio optioned and I read on forums that the base sound system was very bad and should be avoided; so I needed to experience it for myself. Josh responded quickly that he was available to help. The car was in the showroom when I arrived and Josh gave me access and time to test the sound system. I then asked to test drive the car. The staff was more than happy to accommodate. They moved cars around to get the it out for me to test drive. Again, no sales pressure; just a willingness to help answer questions to assist with my decision. I opted to end my search and buy the car on the spot. I felt comfortable I was working with the right dealership and Porsche Brand Ambassador (aka Sale Representative) although the options on the GT4 wasnt exactly what I had originally wanted. With that said, the entire purchase took no longer than 2 hours which was quick, easy, and transparent.
It has now been two weeks since buying the car and Josh has continued to be in contact with me to assist if needed. I still have a follow-up with Porsche Riverside to have several minor things addressed . . . so far so good. |
