Summary: I had a major repair which seems to be working after a few days of heavy use. The dealership paid for my loaner. The service manager Phil was good during the set up, but I had to search him out to get a status. He set reasonable expectations, but did not return my phone call and email inquiries towards the end of the expected period. That was annoying because I was trying to arrange my schedule. I finally emailed him and ccd his manager and received a callback moments later. Hes been good in the past, but not getting back to a customer calling several times is not a reasonable practice. When he did call and I picked up the car, there was no verbal acknowledgement or apology for not responding to me. Also minor - I had to throw away the mechanics paper mats and put some interior covers back in place. However, there was a 5% discount applied to my bill. Overall, I rated the experience 4-star. Thats too bad. A returned call one day sooner would have boosted this experience to a 5 star. |

Summary: We bought a new car from Lia one month ago, based on our experience we'll be steering our family and friends clear of this dealership.
Multiple mistakes in charging my credit card for the deposit. No apology from the sales rep, they over charged us $500 and still have not corrected the mistake. I notified two sales managers of the issue via phone call and email, no one has reached out to me. I'm going through my credit card company to have the charge reversed.
When it was time to pick up our car, the sales rep emailed me in the morning and told me it would be ready "by 2:00PM". I replied to his email informing him I'd be there around 3:30PM that afternoon. When I arrive at 3:30PM, the sales rep told me my car was not ready, and it would be another 45-60min. He had plenty of time to inform me they were running behind so I would not arrive too early and have to wait, but I ended up waiting an hour in the lobby for our car.
When they rolled our new car out an hour later, they had me drive it home with a rejection sticker. The sales rep told me I would need to return to Lia Toyota to have the car reinspected. No apology. I told the sales rep this was a major inconvenience as I do not live near Northampton, he said he would compensate me for the inconvenience. He never reached out to me again.
I ended up bringing my car back to Lia for the reinspection and waited another hour and a half in their lobby. While I was there I spoke to one of the sales managers in person and shared my experience with the overcharge on my card and rejection sticker. The manager apologized, shook my hand, and told me he would address it and would be in touch via email. He has never reached out to me, this was three weeks ago now.
This was a major purchase for our family, and we do like the car now that we're driving it, but we definitely feel taken advantage of by the sales team at Lia Toyota. |

My auxillary battery had died and they were back-ordered, so it was 3 weeks before I got my car back. Dores kept me informed and contacted the main Toyota office to make sure that they paid for my rental since I had no car available for those weeks. |

Summary: Northampton Toyota lost any and all of my future services as a customer for scamming!
I bought my Toyota RAV4 2023 at 85 miles brand new. When I had free Maintence I went in for oil change, I had a nail in my tire and the sign showing up, service agent told me I needed a new tire, I replaced it with a new tire paying full price.
Within 2 months the same tire was losing air. I took it back in, they told me I once again replaced it.
Recently, I went back to them for oil change with a sign alert for tire. Michael my service agent told me I had two nails on my tires (same tire on the passenger side which I replaced twice with them already). He said if I replaced that tire, I would need to replace all four tires and explained why, it didnt make any sense to me so I told him I would consult with my boyfriend and brother. He insisted I should not drive my car with nails in it and to replace it with my donut for my kids safety (I was at the shop with both of my kids). They put a donut in; I consulted with my bf and brother. My 1pm oil change took 3.5+ hours. I didnt leave the shop until 4:50. Next day, I took my car to Ruckys in Holyoke for second opinion. My service agent showed me two very small nails which they took out and patched. My service cost me 25$ and they changed my tire from donut to my original tire with a patch. It took them an hour.
I was so impressed and thankful during the holidays. They saved me over 1k which Toyota Northampton tried scamming me with! I will never go back to them! |
