| Summary: February 21st on a Saturday I ended up having to junk my previous vehicle(unrelated to this dealership I had owned it for awhile and it just cost to much to keep repairing), so I came in Tuesday the 24th, looking for a new vehicle.
I however had no Co-Signer and "Poor" Credit History (I had a 650 credit score but because I didn't have any installment loans or credit cards my history was short which in the backwards ways of the credit system deemed it as "Poor") additionally as I'm mostly on my own financially I only had 1000 dollars to put down, which is a very small amount in the grand scheme of things considering how expensive cars and auto loans get nowadays. I Came in looking for basically the cheapest thing they could let me put 1000 dollars down on and walk away with.
I ended up working with a great salesman (Eric Valladares) and he was being understanding of my situation, now understandable it is a car dealership after all so there's always some negotiating that needs to be done. We ended up looking at two vehicles specifically, a 2018 Honda Accord Touring, and a 2012 Mazda Suv(I forget it's model we didn't spend much time talking or looking at it, albeit that was my own choice as I didn't care about how the car drove or looked just if I could afford it. ) Eric and another individual that I don't remember the name of kept looking up different options for my situation and came back with multiple options that were just to high out of my range to find comfortable (They were however understandable payment plans as I had no Co-Signer, only 1000$s down and "Poor" Credit history (Around 15-16% Interest and 500-550 on monthly payments)) however eventually they were able to find an option that I ended up accepting.
Around 11% interest with payment around 400 a month. (With my circumstances I was ok taking this offer, i do feel slightly overextended as I was hoping for under 400 dollar a month payments but in the grand scheme of things comparing to dealerships that have self financing 400 with my parameters is truly about the best I was going to get unless I went on Facebook marketplace and bought a lemon/beater) This is also the only reason I'm giving the experience 4/5 Stars instead of 5/5. It's truly just my own feeling of slight overextension.
Eric Valladares himself was great to work with he was pleasant to speak to and helped figure out what we could do to try and get what I was looking for eventually leading us to agreeing on a deal.
Additionally Vinnie Zeitler helped me finish up and do all the signing and E-signing of things while explaining anything I had questions about nicely and calmly. On top of this he outlined great options for coverage and insurances for my vehicle that should/probably will be incredibly useful over the next 3-6 years.
If or when I need/want another vehicle I'd be open and willing to coming back to the Crown Hyundai and work with Eric again to see if we can settle on another vehicle. |
