My experience with Lia Hyundai Albany has made me not trust Hyundai vehicles or the services department of this location. My engine failed within 1 year of purchasing my used vehicle from Lia Hyundai. The vehicle is 10 years old and had 70,000 miles on it at time of purchase. The vehicle was driven only about 5,000 miles in that time. I was told when the vehicle was purchased that the services department had serviced and inspected it and it was in great condition. Upon bringing it back in to Lia Hyundai services they misdiagnosed it and charged me $700 for a sensor. Within an hour of driving my car's engine problems returned. I was informed by a separate mechanic that the vehicle I had purchased has a common issue with engine failures even below 100k miles and if I had bought the car new then it would likely be under a Hyundai recall or warranty. When I brought it back in to the dealership they said that it did need an engine but they would not pay for the engine because it didn't meet the proper failure mode to qualify (remember that I bought this car from them less than a year ago). They said they would reach out to the provider of a separate warranty I had purchased when I bought my vehicle. Then I waited for several days to hear back and heard nothing. Finally I called and they said that my service representative had been out sick and they seemingly had no knowledge of the status of my car. The person on the phone then said that they'd try to call me back but due to the person being out sick they were very busy and couldn't guarantee when I'd hear back. That was days ago and I have not heard back. I am still waiting for this situation to be resolved, but Lia Hyundai Albany has not handled this well. Frankly Lia Hyundai should be liable to pay for the engine since it failed so quickly. It is also worth noting that the customer service received from the services representative has not been good. Everyone I have dealt with have been unhelpful and at times even rude. I would never recommend Lia Hyundai given what I've experienced. I plan to post a similar review in various other locations. If this situation with my engine doesn't get resolved soon I may try to figure out if there is some other action I can take to force Lia Hyundai to make this right like they should.

Easy to schedule and was contacted by Josephine Calabro to confirm. Also kept me updated and provided quote for service I requested. Just wish Hyundai had better write up on service invoice. No where does it specifically mention or record the 16K factory service that was requested and quoted. Overall, very happy with the communication with Josephine & service. Love my Cruz!
