We went in for an oil change, they ended up taking our inspection sticker and saying we needed to pay $800-$1400 in order for us to pass inspection and justified it by saying it was a license plate light and rear brakes. They tried to instill fear by saying wed be fined if we drive our car on the road hundreds or thousands of dollars.
I bought a light bulb the same day on Amazon, replaced the plate light, and got my car inspected for $10 at a local shop. Had we given into the fear tactics of the service center, wed be out of pocket as much money as they couldve gotten out of us. Not to mention that my wife was there alone with our two toddlers at the time trying to get the work done.
This is my second horrible experience with a Toyota dealership and Im really wondering why Im still driving a Toyota and supporting this company. Never coming back
