I don't even know where to begin with this review. Earlier this year, my wife took her Audi to Audi Riversidefor a 40K service. The service advisor, Stacey, convinced us to prepay for the 50K service based on some numbers that she claimed would save us money. So we paid a total of amount $900, with about $400 prepaid for the 50K service. In addition, Audi Riverside recommended that we replaced 2 tires and do wheel alignment for an additional $900+; $344 for wheel alignment and $570 for 2 tires. We immediately declined this offer, as we thought the prices were exorbitant when compared to other luxury brand dealerships, especially for the wheel alignment. We ended up replacing all 4 tires at Costco for $800 and then got the wheels aligned at an independent tire shop for $89. Fast forward to last month, my wife took the car in for the 50K mile service that we already prepaid $400 using the Audi Care maintenance contract. Audi Riverside basically did an oil change and then recommended that we do wheel alignment for an additional $389. Based on past experiences with overcharging, we declined and took the car back to our independent tire shop. The tech at the tire shop said unless the tires hit a big pothole or a curb, we should not have to do another wheel alignment this soon. So he charged us $20 to check if the alignment is off. To our surprise, he said the wheel alignment was well within the manufacturer's specifications and that the tires only needed to be rotated. And since we bought the tires from Costco, he recommended that we do the rotation there, which is free. So the bottom line is that for this year alone, we almost spent an additional $633 on wheel alignment at Audi Riverside. Fortunately for us, we shopped around and spent $109 instead. This kind of overcharging is very abusive to the customer's pocket book and people need to shop around. What is it about Audis that make the wheel alignment so expensive? We paid $139 at a Mercedes dealership for wheel alignment of my E300. Something is seriously wrong with the pricing model at Audi Riverside, as they are way outside of the norms for luxury dealerships. In addition, we are not happy with the fact that they wanted us to do alignment instead of a simple tire rotation. I don't know if the technicians are compensated for getting customers to pay for unnecessary servicing, but this does not pass the smell test. We don't think we will take our car back to Audi Riverside as it seems like there is a pattern of overcharging for services and asking customers to do unnecessary work on their car. Update 10/14/2019: Thanks to the service manager for a very detailed explanation of what goes into the alignment process for an Audi that is equipped with pre-sense. Nevertheless, I still think it is way too expensive. My 2017 Mercedes has distronic safety systems, similar to Audi pre-sense, and I still pay way less for wheel alignment. Not to mention the fact that the $400 prepaid service only got us an oil change. I am not sure how that represents a cost saving for us. Also, in the past we have had situations where Audi Riverside recommended that we do work that was already taken care of during a previous visit. And I had to ask the service adviser to review our records, after which he withdrew the recommended service. So this did not inspire a lot of confidence that the service adviser always cross-check the technician's recommendations against the vehicle records on-site.

Stacy Samuel is the absolute best! ! She bent over backwards to get my Audi into the shop to checkout and correct my Check Engine Light issue. The shop found the problem and repaired it as needed. A great job and they still had time to do an oil change. If Im in SoCal again and need any kind of service on my Audi - this is the go to dealer. Thanks to all.
